Outback Breamer Baits Puffin Crank

The Puffin Crank is a 36mm big bodied crank bait built for targeting big fish.

It's large square cut bib gets the bait down to up to 2.2m and is made for maximum sand/mud disturbance.

The Puffin Crank will 'bib suspend'. The tip of the bib will sit on the sand with the lures head facing down and tail up. This means you have full hook exposure. It also helps to prevent picking up weed or snagging the bottom.

The lure features three free range rattle beads which are noisey in the hand. However this bait was designed to be fished ultra slow - crawling across the bottom and still being able to be heard.

The ideal scenario to fish this bait is when the winds up, tides pumping, the water is stirred up or the rivers running tannin. The fish will come to you with its bold presence and unfamiliar rattle.

Great early techniques found for fishing in shallow water - hold a high rod tip and very slowly retieve with the rod - add a short sharp rip, wind up the slack and repeat (similar to a drop shot drag)

Replacement standard hardware are Decoy YS25 size 12 hooks (for suspending) size 14 (for slow float). Split rings are Decoy size 1 light game.
